Privacy Policy

Fenerbahçe Society is the app of the California Fenerbahçe Society (“we”), a supporters' association registered as a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as the app needs to work.

What we collect

Account: your email address, and the display name, username, photo and region you choose. Email is used to sign you in and to reach you about the Society.

Activity: the events you RSVP to, your check-ins, predictions, votes, posts, comments, likes, follows and the Fan Score those actions earn. This is the point of the app, and other members can see the parts you post publicly.

Approximate location, only if you turn it on: we ask for reduced (coarse) accuracy and store a rounded area, never your exact coordinates. It is used to show you nearby watch parties and to tell you roughly how far away other fans are.

Your exact location, only in the one case where you send it: if you use “watch together” to show one specific fan where you are. It is sent to that fan and to nobody else, it stops being visible when the time you chose runs out or when you tap stop, and it is deleted after that. We never take an exact location any other way.

Device: a push notification token if you allow notifications, plus your app version and platform, so notifications reach the right device.

Membership applications: the details on the Society's membership form — your name, email, phone, date and place of birth, marital status, home address, city, occupation and, if you give them, your Turkish ID number, your parents' names, a work address, a Fenerbahçe congress member number, referring members and your Instagram and LinkedIn. They are used only to decide and administer your membership, are seen only by the Society's administrators, never appear on your profile, and are kept for as long as the Society's bylaws and the law require.

What we never do

We never share your exact location with anyone you did not choose. Fan discovery uses a city or a rounded distance: distances are bucketed on our server before they are sent, and your raw coordinates are never part of it. The only exception is a location you deliberately send to one named fan, which goes to that fan alone, for as long as you set.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Who processes your data

Supabase hosts our database, authentication and file storage.

Apple and Google deliver push notifications.

These providers process data on our instructions only.

Your choices

Location is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings; turning it off clears the area we stored.

If you have shared your exact location with someone, you can stop it in one tap, and stopping deletes it rather than hiding it. It also stops on its own at the time you set.

You can hide yourself from fan discovery, control who sees your profile, and switch off any category of notification in Settings.

You can edit or delete your posts and comments, and you can block or report another member.

Deleting your account

Settings has a Delete account option. It deletes your account immediately, along with your profile, posts, comments, Fan Score history and uploaded images.

Some records are kept where the law requires it, for example the Society's membership records, and content that has been reported may be retained while a moderation case is open.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Write to us if you believe a child has created an account.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
